As a fully qualified Person Centred Therapist, I work in partnership with you as my client in a relationship that has you at the centre. You set the agenda and we work together to help you resolve your issues and achieve your objectives. You have the opportunity to feel fully heard in a truly non-judgemental, safe and confidential setting.
About me and my practice
For your convenience, our work together is carried out either on-line (video) or via telephone conversations. Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly or fortnightly. It is important that you are able to find a safe, secure and comfortable place for our time together. As a Person Centred Therapist, I am not a fixer or an advisor, but will use the core elements of non-judgement, empathy and unconditional regard to accept you as you are and to work in partnership with you to help resolve the issues you are facing. I am insured and a fully registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and as such abide by their Code of Ethics. I also have regular, independent supervision to ensure that I am working ethically and effectively with your interests at the centre of our relationship.
Experience
I have worked with young people and adults at all stages of life with issues including anxiety, low mood, anger, grief, low self esteem/confidence, relationship and social difficulties and depression. As a registered therapeutic foster carer I have direct experience of the challenges faced by both young people in care and their foster carers.
My experience in the education sector has led me to work with the emotional wellbeing and mental health of teenagers, whilst understanding the impact felt by parents and other family members. I have considerable experience of working with neurodiversity (ASD and ADHD) and have counselled clients in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.
In the business world, I have coached, mentored and supported professionals from graduate to board level in achieving their goals and often in making life changing decisions.

Initial Consultation
The first steps in counselling can be daunting and so I will do all I can to support you on your journey. Following your initial email inquiry, we will arrange a free 15- 20 minute telephone conversation. I will ask for some basic details about you and your background and we can both assess our suitability for working together. There is no charge for this conversation but my fees (£60 per session) do apply from session one onwards.
